What made you decide to pursue your degree in WDOC?

My decision to pursue my Master’s degree in WDOC was very intentional. I researched graduate programs and potential career paths extensively after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing. I wanted a career that allowed for creative freedom as well as a flexible schedule and I wanted a program that aligned with those needs as well. This program was the perfect fit for me and I am completely confident I made the right decision in choosing WDOC.

What has been the biggest thing you have learned in your classes?

It hard to choose, but I would say that pursuing my degree while also working, now freelancing, full-time has taught me how to be disciplined and manage my time very well out of necessity. This program has also taught me how to create and present my design work professionally, which has been critical to my success as a freelancer.

What have you learned in your classes that you have already applied to your job?

Practically everything. This program has already equipped me to be a better designer and professional. I feel certain I would not have made the progress I have in the last year without this program!

What are your career aspirations?

I want to start my own design business. I am freelancing full-time right now, but I want to continue to grow into a full-service design business and hopefully have a physical office space one day.

What accomplishment are you the proudest of achieving?

Academically, that I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in this program so far and it is my goal to keep that. Professionally, I am proud of the amazing clients I have had the privilege of working with over the last year and I feel that this program has prepared me for those opportunities.
