What made you decide to pursue your degree in WDOC?

I chose to pursue a degree in WDOC because I wanted something that was interesting and a challenge that would also offer a lot of career growth. There are so many potential opportunities available with this degree, and that is exciting.

What has been the biggest thing you have learned in your classes?

I am more creative and capable than I thought, and I can rise to the challenge.

What have you learned in your classes that you have already applied to your job?

In my current job, I have been asked to utilize my CSS coding skills and my skills in Illustrator with respect to creating and editing images. In addition, I have also been asked to create some brochures and other marketing materials for my church and personal friends.

What are your career aspirations?

I would really enjoy something that combines the many skills I acquire in these classes along with those I have obtained working in both the private and public sector (strategy, metrics, management, etc.) At this stage, I am leaning towards front end developer but that could change.

What accomplishment are you the proudest of achieving?

Creating my own website felt like I climbed a mountain! It is a work in progress but that is okay. So am I!
