Kara is a proud graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communication’s Web Design and Online Communication master’s program. Prior to obtaining her master’s degree, Kara graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 2012 with a B.S. in Advertising and a B.S. in Recreation, Parks and Tourism with a specialization in Event Management.
Kara has a passion for teaching both master’s and undergraduate students about communication and graphic design. She shares that passion with undergraduate students by serving as the advisor to Ad Society, the University of Florida’s professional student advertising organization. In addition to teaching, Kara is the Assistant Tutorial Program Coordinator for the University of Florida Athletic Association’s Hawkins Center for Academic and Personal Excellence. As Assistant Tutorial Program Coordinator, Kara helps manage more than 100 tutors, creates all communications materials and works with scholarship student-athletes on a daily basis. Kara loves inspiring Gator athletes and students to achieve their creative potential.
